  1. In the Philippines, when we say napkins generally it refers to menstruation pads (we don't use tampons). On the other hand, in restaurants or when eating you would hear one 'pahingi ng tissue' (may I have tissue') yeah people generally refer to is as tissue. Very rare you would hear 'napkin' (people might be confused and would think twice whether you're asking for a serviette/ napkin for your food mess or you are referring to the menstruation pads)….and you will never here 'serviette'. I know nobody asked but I just wanna share.
